Offshore reports have been few and far between with the high winds this past week. More reports coming from the 15 mi. range. Red grouper and amberjacks have been consistent in 100 feet and less. GIANT mangroves (10lb) for example with NO EXCUSES CHARTERS. Pushing inshore a bit, the tripletail reports have started to flow in. These still are not the numbers that we have seen in the recent years but we will see what the rest of this month brings. Inshore action has really been great this past week. Still some pompano out off the beach. The white bait is showing nicely off of the beach as well. Early mornings are suggested if youre looking to cast net. Sheepshead are still going strong in the passes mainly around structure (ie: docks and rock pilings). The flats have really begun to heat up nicely!! Snook, trout and some smaller tarpon were reported earlier this week. With the redfish bite being on the slower side, I see that heating up shortly with the bait as well.
Just a heads up!!
