Well, the water is looking a lot better!! The red tide has seemed to clear up immensley in the bay and off of the beaches. Levels have been lower for the past few days, so hopefully this continues to be a trend. The colder temps have definitely helped. Offshore action has remained very strong over then past few weeks. Kingfish are starting to show in better numbers now. Some bonita and smaller mackerel reported as well. The red grouper are still going strong in about 100′ of water as well as the giant mangrove snappers! Some blackfin tuna were being reported in about 45 feet of water a week ago. Tripletail are still very few and far between. Amberjacks on the wrecks as well as huge permit have been testing tackle lately for many anglers!! Inshore has been getting better by the day, and as the water starts heating back up the bait shouls start moving around a bit more as well. Snook and trout have been super consistent in the bay this week with a few redfish scattered in the mix also. Still a few sheepshead luring around the structure. Who’s ready for tarpon season!?! As always, stop in and see us with any questions you may have. Tight lines!!
