Pinecraft Park is a well maintained Sarasota county park that is at the northern end of Phillippi Creek.  There is a paved launch ramp on the south end of Pinecraft Park and a good sized paved parking lot.

Pinecraft park is a little over 3 miles upstream from the Phillippi Estate Park and many people like to paddle from one park to the other as they are both beautiful parks with nice launch sites.

Pinecraft to Phillippi (or reversed, or part way) is a nice easy paddle and good for beginners as it’s quiet, residential, shallow, and protected from the wind. However, before you launch check the tide and only go if it’s high or rising. There are parts of the Creek that are very, very shallow.

To get to the Park, go east on Bahia Vista, cross Phillippi Creek bridge and go south on Gilbert Ave. Gilbert runs right into the Park. The Park also has very nice shaded picnic accommodations. Enjoy!
